The PPGEM maintains a close relationship with the INRS University, through the Center Eau Terre Environment (ETE) and the Université de Laval, both in Quebec, Canada. With INRS-ETE, through the team of Prof. Yves Secretant, the collaboration refers to the development of models and software (MODELEUR / HIDROSIM / DISPERSIM) for the analysis of fluvial flows. This collaboration resulted in the development of a model for the analysis of the flow in Guajará Bay and a MODELEUR software module is currently being developed to deal with sedimentation problems, involving a PhD thesis in PRODERNA / UFPA (defended in 2012) and currently one student is performing golden sandwich at INRS-ETE.

Institutions involved:

Université INRS, Université de Laval and the Federal University of Pará.
